This year, we're walking for my son, Nathan.
There are no words to fully describe what it means to lose a child. A part of my heart left with him that day, and every step I take is one I wish he could be taking beside me.
Nathan loved adventure, hiking, and finding beauty in God's creation. He had a kind heart, a contagious smile, and a way of making people feel seen. He was so much more than the pain he carried, and he was so much more than the way he died.
If you've never lost someone to suicide, I pray you never understand this kind of heartbreak. But if you have, then you know the questions, the guilt, the shattered pieces, and the overwhelming silence that follows. You also know how desperately we need to talk about mental health without shame and remind people that asking for help is a sign of courage, not weakness.
My faith has carried me through the darkest days of my life. It hasn't taken away the pain, but it has reminded me that God is still near to the brokenhearted. Because of that hope, I choose to keep walking—even on the days when my heart wants to stand still.
If you're able, I would be honored if you would support our team with a donation or by walking alongside us. Every dollar helps provide education, resources, and support for suicide prevention and mental health.
Most of all, I ask that you remember Nathan—not for the way we lost him, but for the incredible person he was. And if you're struggling today, please hear this: You are loved. You are needed. Your story isn't over.
Thank you for walking with us, praying for us, and helping us honor Nathan's life by bringing hope to others.
