E.M.I.R. – Every Murder Is Real Healing Center is a Philadelphia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that advocates, educates, and supports individuals, families, and communities impacted by homicide and violent crime.

For more than 25 years, E.M.I.R. has stood beside families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives—providing trauma-informed support, counseling, victim services, wellness programs, violence prevention initiatives, advocacy, education, and pathways toward healing.

But the need does not end when the headlines fade.

Every homicide has a ripple effect. Parents, children, siblings, friends, and entire communities are left to navigate grief, trauma, and the difficult process of rebuilding their lives. E.M.I.R. is there to help ensure they do not have to navigate that journey alone.

This campaign is an important step toward an even greater goal: raising $1 million by January 2027 to strengthen E.M.I.R.’s ability to serve families, expand healing and violence-prevention programs, and build long-term sustainability for the work our communities depend on.
