Taylorsville Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk

Race Venue

1. Where will be the race be held?  Near the Veterans Wall of Honor on Main Street in downtown Taylorsville, KY 40071.
2. What time does the race start?  The 5K Run/Walk will start at 8:00 am.
3. What time should I arrive?  Please arrive at least one hour before the race start time. 
4. Where will I park?  Parking will available on the city streets and parking lots in downtown Taylorsville, KY.
5. Are there any restrictions at the race venue? No pets allowed.

Race Registration

1. When does online registration close?  Online registration will remain open up to and through race day.
2. Can I register on race day?  Yes! Race day registration will be available for an increased fee over pre-registration fees. 
3. What do I get for my registration fee? Your registration fee includes your race number including chipped race timing and a race t-shirt (must register by 11/1/18 to guarantee shirt availability).
4. Is there a benefiting charity?  Proceeds from the race will benefit the Taylorsville-Spencer County Tourism Commission and the local AmVets
5. Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry. Registration fees are non-refundable.
6. Should I register my young children? Small children that can't run or walk the 5K independently need not be registered.  Only registered participants will receive a race number and race t-shirt.

Race Participation

1. When can I get my race t-shirt and race number?  Packet pick up will begin at 6:30 am day of race at the Chamber of Commerce located at 19. E. Main St. (start/finish)area).
2. Can I view a course map?  Yes. Click here to view the 5K course map.
3. Is the course totally on hard surfaces?  Yes! The course is on the paved roads in and around downtown Taylorsville.
4. Is the course suitable for strollers?  Yes. Pushing a stroller on this course is possible. Please start in the back of the race pack.
5. Can I walk the race?  Yes! Walkers are welcome.
6. Can I bring my dog? No pets allowed.
7. Are there other restrictions? None at this time

1. Will the race be timed?  Yes, the race will be "chip" timed by 3 Way Racing.
2. Will awards be presented after the race?  Yes, there will be awards following the race. Details will be available soon.
