How does this Virtual Challenge work?
Each day throughout the year you have the opportunity to go for a run/walk. All you have to do in this challenge is log your distance under your profile!
What happens if I didn't start on January 1st?
No worries; we allow you to backlog your miles for the dates you weren't with us. For example, if you joined us on February 1st, simply login to your profile and log the miles for the month of January. Just be sure to get registered/log your challenge miles before the challenge ends to get your swag!
When are the deadlines/important dates to remember?
Registration opens December 11th and closes on October 31st . If you want the ability to be in on this challenge you must register within that time frame.
What swag will I receive by doing this challenge?
All participants who complete their challenge will earn a Commemorative Finisher T-Shirt and Commemorative Finisher Medal.
When I will receive my swag?
We will be doing the shipment for all swag at the same time. This package will be sent to you at the end of November/early December (you will receive an email with tracking so it is important you register with a valid email address).
If I complete the challenge early, will I get my swag upon completion? Or, can I pick up my swag early?
No, all swag will be sent at the estimated date listed above. No one will be allowed to pick up and we will not be shipping out early.
Can I walk the challenge?
Of course, walkers are definitely welcome to participate in this challenge! Use this as motivation to stay active!
Can I still complete the other Challenges you all offer (For example, The WVStrong Winter Challenge)?
Of course, feel free to join us in all of our challenges to earn as much swag as possible! You can use your miles towards multiple challenges.
Are Biking Miles Allowed?
No, this is a Running and Walking. Bike miles are not allowed to be logged.
Do Treadmill Miles Count?
Yes, all running and walking miles count - even ones done on a treadmill!
Are there any awards for this challenge?
There are no awards for this challenge (simply because there is no verification system).
If I join a team, are the miles split between team members?
No, all individuals are responsible for their own mileage. If you want your swag you must complete your own challenge.
