As we gather for the Race to Cure Sarcoma, Team Wanda's Warriors proudly celebrates our 10th year walking, running, and raising awareness together.
Our team stands behind and in support of my mother, Wanda Farrell, who is a 17-year sarcoma cancer survivor. Her strength, resilience, and determination continue to inspire us every day and remind us why this cause is so important.
Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer, accounting for only a small percentage of cancer diagnoses. Because it is rare, sarcoma research often receives less funding and fewer resources than more common cancers. Yet for the thousands of patients and families affected each year, the need for research, treatment advancements, and support is critical.
Over the past decade, we've witnessed firsthand the power of community. Whether you're a survivor, caregiver, family member, friend, healthcare professional, or advocate, your presence makes a difference. Every step taken, every dollar raised, and every conversation started helps bring hope to those facing this disease.
Together, we honor survivors, remember loved ones, and stand alongside every person currently fighting sarcoma. A strong community of support helps patients continue their journey and their fight for survival each and every day.
Thank you for being part of Wanda's Warriors and for helping us work toward a future where no one faces sarcoma alone.
