For more than 140 years, YWCA Central Massachusetts has worked to build a more equitable community where all people have the opportunity to thrive.

Our mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. We believe that gender equity and racial justice are deeply connected, and that building a stronger community means addressing the barriers that prevent people from reaching their full potential.

Through programs that help girls build confidence and leadership skills, provide women with safe and affordable transitional housing, and support survivors of domestic violence, we work to create opportunities, strengthen lives, and promote greater independence. Across our work, we strive to ensure that women and girls have access to the resources, support, and opportunities they deserve.

At YWCA Central Massachusetts, empowering women and girls and advancing racial equity are at the heart of what we do. We are committed to creating a community where everyone is treated with dignity, barriers to opportunity are challenged, and all women and girls can shape their own futures.
