Approximately 20% of youths ages 13 to 18 experience severe mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Sadly, 60% of adults and youths with a mental illness receive no mental health services. The Today Show reported that by 2020, it expects depression to soar making it the second leading cause of disability. The mission of FCSSC is simple. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life of individuals, families, and communities by providing mental health and addiction treatment and services. We counsel, guide, and provide tools to people in our community who need to strengthen their foundation of wellness.
