One of our race charitable beneficiaries is Glean KY. Founded in 2010, GleanKY gathers and and redistributes excess fruits and vegetables nourish Kentucky's hungry. Currently operating in Fayette, Scott, Madison, and Franklin Counties, GleanKY gathers produce from farms, orchards, groceries, gardens, and farmers markets, distributing it to over seventy feeding agencies each year. 97% of agencies receiving produce from GleanKY report being able to serve a greater number of clients thanks to gleaned produce; 35% report that GleanKY allows them to serve produce for the first time. GleanKY anticipates gleaning its millionth pound of produce in the late summer of 2016. A portion of your registration fee and 100% of additional donations made by Gobbler registrants will go to Glean KY.
