THANKSGIVING WEEKEND WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!

Join us for the inaugural Gobbler Half Marathon on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 9am at the Kentucky Horse Park/Alltech Arena.  Burn off that Thanksgiving feast with a scenic Half Marathon, 10K or 5K through the one and only Kentucky Horse Park.

Our race charitable beneficiary will be Glean KY.  Founded in 2010, GleanKY gathers and and redistributes excess fruits and vegetables nourish Kentucky's hungry. Currently operating in Fayette, Scott, Madison, and Franklin Counties, GleanKY gathers produce from farms, orchards, groceries, gardens, and farmers markets, distributing it to over seventy feeding agencies each year. 97% of agencies receiving produce from GleanKY report being able to serve a greater number of clients thanks to gleaned produce; 35% report that GleanKY allows them to serve produce for the first time. GleanKY anticipates gleaning its millionth pound of produce in the late summer of 2016.  A portion of your registration fee and 100% of additional donations made by Gobbler registrants will go to Glean KY.

In addition to supporting GleanKY we'll also be collecting canned/non perishable goods at our 2 packet pickups and on race morning.  We'll get whatever is donated to local food banks who can get this food to those in need.  Thanks in advance to those who can help!

Our scenic half marathon course will traverse through the Kentucky Horse Park grounds.  All half registrants receive a long sleeved performance T-shirt (while they last). Overall, Age Group awards (13.1), DJ and live band (PointSeven), race photos, chip timing, post race eats and lots of "Turkey Weekend Fun"!

Sign up by November 13th to guarantee yourself a commemorative long sleeved tech T-shirt.  After that date shirts are on a first come first serve basis.  If you register and your size is not available you can either pick another size or choose the "no shirt option".  We will have a SHIRT SWAP immediately following the race for anyone who either did not receive a shirt or got a size that they would like to trade with another participant.  If we have race no shows their shirts will be available for swap following the race.

There will be a 15 minute/mile (3:15 total time) pace limit imposed for the half marathon race.  We will have race pacers (Thanks Beast Pacing) for half marathon finish times of 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45 and 3:00.  Walkers and strollers are welcomed in either the 10K or 5K races.  Awards for the 5K & 10K will be top 3 overall male/female.

We will have two advance day packet pickup sessions on Wednesday, 11/23 from 2-6pm and Friday 11/25 from 3-6pm at Pivot Brewing Company,1400 Delaware Avenue, Lexington, KY 40505.  There will also be race day PPU from 7:30-9am at Alltech Arena.
