The Charlottesville Ten Miler is Central Virginia's premiere foot race, offering a scenic and challenging route through the heart of this historic city. This year marks the 50th running of the race, a milestone event that celebrates decades of tradition and community. Whether you're a seasoned runner or looking to tackle your first long-distance race, this event is the perfect way to experience the beauty and spirit of Charlottesville.
Established in 1976, the Charlottesville Ten Miler is the area's oldest and most prestigious footrace. Widely considered to be the "most scenic urban course" in the state, this rolling tour of Charlottesville brings runners through Jefferson's beautiful University of Virginia "grounds," up Rugby Road, down Preston Avenue, up the historic Downtown Mall, around Court Square, and through the gorgeous Park Street neighborhoods, up Main Street and by the famous UVA "Corner." The Charlottesville Ten Miler is an official Charlottesville Track Club race.

How do I register using my 2024 deferral?
Click here for instructions on how to claim and use your 2024 deferral for the 2025 race.
- You MUST register for the 2025 race through your RunSignup profile (the person icon next to blue donate button) to claim your 2024 deferral.
- 2024 deferrals can be used for either the in-person or virtual event.
- DO NOT use the 'Sign Up' button at the top or middle of the page to register for the race. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE RACE!
- 2024 deferrals are NOT automatically registered for the 2025 race.
- If you are being charged an entry fee, please do not finish the registration process. Email Karen Murray to assist you with registration.
- If you do not have a deferral option, either you never registered for the 2024 race, you never went through the deferral process or there is a glitch in the system. If you believe you DO have a deferral from the 2024 race, please email cville10milerrd@gmail.com to figure out the issue.
- If you register for the 2025 race and need to defer to 2026, deferrals must be submitted by Friday, February 28th @ 11:59PM EST.
NO dogs or strollers allowed on the course!
Sorry! We do love dogs and babies but not everybody loves to run with them.

The Charlottesville Track Club (CTC) values every volunteer and their contributions. We've reinstated our Volunteer Incentive Program to show our appreciation for your time.
