My Daddy was my Hero, barely ever sick a day in his life. In 2013 my Mom, my Dads best friend and love of his life for 51 years, passed of cancer and shortly after, my Dad was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis, a rare autoimmune disorder that causes muscle weakness and nerve issues which can affect muscle movement at all levels. It can also affect your breathing, chewing and speech. This can surface from stress and in his case that is what happened from the loss of my Mother. My Dad was independent, worked on everything that needed fixing and loved life. This disorder affected him mentally physically and emotionally because he was no longer able to do what he used to and the way he used to. Sometimes walking around the grocery store wore him out. Medications did help some and he also had an infusion which helped as well. He always stayed positive thru all of this and kept a smile on his face.  My Dad lived with this for 7 years until he passed of Pneumonia/Covid in 2020.  I am walking in memory of my Daddy and all that are affected by Muscle Movement disorders/diseases.
