PLS is an extremely rare disease that has become a part of our family. Primary lateral sclerosis (PLS) is a type of motor neuron disease. A motor neuron disease affects the nerve cells in the brain that control movement. In PLS , the breakdown of nerve cells causes weakness in the muscles that control the legs, arms and tongue. My dad has been battling it for a several years but never gives up! Although physically he can’t quite participate in everything he once did, it doesn’t affect him mentally and he’s still the same ole Chris Doyle we know and love! He continues to do many things he loves including being with his grandchildren, doing things with my mom, going out to eat and much more! His determination and my moms support have never waiver and they both truly are an inspiration! Please consider joining us at the walk or donation to this cause!
