BEER RUN & MILE RULES
Disclosure:
Participants must be 21 years of age or older. The 3 Sheeps Beer Run does not encourage irresponsible or dangerous behavior. Please refrain from attempting the beer mile if you have not properly trained or are not physically fit for it. Most importantly, be responsible—arrange for transportation and do not drink and drive.
Rules:
Each competitor must drink four cans of beer and run four laps, following this sequence:
Start – Beer, then lap, then beer, then lap, then beer, then lap, then beer, then lap – Finish.
Competitors will have up to 27 minutes to complete the beer mile. Failure to complete within this time limit will result in disqualification.
Beer must be consumed before the lap begins and within the designated transition area. No beer is allowed outside of the transition zone or on the course at any time.
Beer will be provided for the event. Competitors may not supply their own beer.
Beer cans must remain unopened until entering the transition zone on each lap. Any tampering with the can, such as shotgunning or puncturing the can (other than opening with the tab), is prohibited. The use of straws or other devices to speed up consumption is not allowed.
After finishing each beer, the competitor must turn the can upside down and hold it over their head before starting the next lap.
Competitors who experience a reversal (vomiting) before completing the race must perform one penalty lap immediately after finishing their fourth lap. Note: Vomiting more than once during the race still results in only one penalty lap.
Participants who do not complete the beer mile will be disqualified.
There is an elite wave for those who finish the beer mile in under 12:00 minutes.
