National Veterans Homeless Support (NVHS) is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to eliminating homelessness among veterans by providing housing solutions and supportive services that lead to self-sufficiency.
Our Impact Over the Last Year
Search and Rescue Program
Assisted 418 individuals; including, 359 veterans and 62 family members by providing basic needs and connections to housing and benefits, while preventing homelessness for 103 veteran families.
Transitional Housing Program
Offered temporary shelter and supportive services, helping 8 veterans and their families move towards independence.
Impact on Homelessness
Veteran homelessness decreased by 14%, despite a 2% increase in overall homelessness in Brevard County.
Long-term Impact
Since 2008, reduced veteran homelessness from 1,800 to less than 200, achieving a 90% decrease overall.
