Information

St Francis Hospice presents the D.A.S.H In Life 5K on Saturday, November 07, 2026 at 7:30 AM!

Join us in honoring Veterans with Devotion Admiration Service and Honor at the DASH in Life 5K benefiting St. Francis Hospice. Together, we will ensure they feel the gratitude of our nation for their service.

The unique nature of those who serve in the military is paramount to St. Francis Hospice as we help each Veteran live out their own journey on the Sunset Road the best they can. This DASH honors those whose DASH has overlapped ours. You and your team can run in honor or memory of a Veteran. You can walk, run, march, skip and you can even spirit run the event.

This event is open to all ages and will be held at the beautiful Brevard Veterans Memorial Center on Merritt Island. Service animals are the only pets permitted. Strollers are welcome and we ask that they line up behind the runners.

Stay after the race to help celebrate the Veterans in attendance with a special pinning ceremony. Veterans- please indicate status on registration to be included in pinning.

Our Veteran Program

St. Francis Hospice is committed to providing ongoing education for our employees and volunteers on how to identify and meet the specialized care needs of our nation’s Veterans. We partner closely with local Veteran organizations that assist Veterans and their families in accessing benefits, services, and additional resources. When challenges arise, we work diligently to connect individuals with solutions and support. Through these efforts, St. Francis has built strong, trust‑based relationships with Veteran organizations throughout Brevard County to better serve Veterans and their loved ones.
By recognizing the unique needs of Veterans and their families, our team takes a thoughtful approach to assessing, guiding, and caring for this population. Veterans receiving services from St. Francis are invited to share their military stories, which are honored through a special pinning ceremony attended by family and friends. These ceremonies often reveal meaningful details of a Veteran’s service that families may not have known. The tributes are led by retired military volunteers, and each Veteran is presented with recognition items specific to their branch of service, honoring their legacy with dignity and respect. tps://reflectionslsc.org/services/for-veterans/

About St. Francis Hospice

St. Francis Hospice began in Titusville in 1977 with a small group of dedicated, concerned nurses who volunteered their time and talents to care for their neighbors who were at end of life.
Today, St. Francis Hospice is a Treasure Health Provider, and the only hospice in Florida to achieve a 5-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the highest rating awarded through the CMS Hospice Care Compare program. St. Francis Hospice is Brevard County’s longest serving, and only independent, non-profit hospice and palliative care resource.
After nearly 50 years St. Francis Hospice continues to provide extraordinary care for patients and families to help them deal with the greatest medical, emotional, and spiritual challenges of their lives. Today, St. Francis Hospice cares for patients in their residences throughout Brevard County, wherever they call home. It also offers two Inpatient Units: one 12-bed unit in Titusville and another 10-bed unit in Melbourne. St. Francis Hospice staff and volunteers work with dedication, compassion, and great respect for those they serve guided by the mission statement: Uplifting Lives. Uplifting Each Other. Uplifting Our Community.
