FAQs

How does a virtual challenge work?

A virtual challenge is just like any other run, except you can participate any time you want! There's no starting line, ending line, corral start, or messy port-a-potty you need to worry about. You can track your miles during your normal run times.

How do I track my mileage?

We created a Strava club for this event so you can stay engaged and motivated! You can also submit your results there by pairing your running product (watch, phone, etc) with your Strava profile. Because there is a monetary prize each month, we do require your activities to be verified through a third party.

Sign up here for the Strava club.

Do I have to run all these miles in one go?

Nope! One of the great things of this challenge is that it's meant to last all year long! You can run as many miles you want each week, but the goal is to be active each week in 2021.

I don't see any swag listed...

In order to keep this event free and the focus on the fundraising opportunities, we are not including swag in the registration. However, there will be the opportunity to order add-on items as we progress throughout the year!

What if I don't complete the challenge mileage?

No worries! The whole point of this virtual challenge is to get you up and moving during 2021. If you miss a week, just keep going!

What if I join halfway through the month or year?

No worries, we're excited you are here! If you are going to be "going for the gold" and running for a favorite charity, then you may want to be strategic in your fundraising and running endeavors. For instance, if you join in week 3 of a month, it may be more difficult to run the most miles that month compared to someone who started on week 1. Perhaps you begin upping your weekly miles or pushing your fundraising amount in week 1 of the following month.
