Early/Pre-Race Pickup:
- Pickup Days: Wednesday, April 29, 2026 + Friday, May 1, 2026
- Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Location: To be announced closer to the race date
We strongly recommend taking advantage of early pickup to help ensure an on-time race start. Check back on the Packet Pickup page for the confirmed location, and watch your email for reminders—we’ll send updates directly to registrants.
Race-Day Pickup:

- Location: Check-in near 30 Hudson St, Jersey City, NJ
To reduce crowding and wait times, race-day pickup will be staggered by the first letter of your last name:
- Group 1, A–H: 8:30 AM
- Group 2, I–P: 9:00 AM
- Group 3, Q–Z: 9:30 AM

No! All ages are welcome to participate!
Children under 18 can register through Youth registration, which is separate from adult registration—be sure to select the correct option when signing up.
Same-day registration will be open until 9:30 AM on race morning and available both online and on-site.
We strongly encourage participants to avoid bringing bags or personal items that can’t be kept on your person. A limited bag check will be available for $10, payable via exact cash or Venmo (card payments will not be accepted on-site).
All items must be enclosed in a bag - loose items such as phones, keys, or wallets will not be accepted.
Bags will not be provided on site, so please bring your own if you plan to use bag check.
5K for Pizza staff and volunteers are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen bags or items left at bag check.
Yes! The 5K for Pizza is open to all levels—whether you’re a first-time 5K participant, a casual walker, or a seasoned runner, everyone is welcome to join and enjoy the course at their own pace.
Participants will have 1.5 hours to complete the course. After that time, the route will begin reopening, and runners may encounter increased pedestrian traffic along the way. The finish line will remain open until all participants have finished.
If you anticipate needing additional time or accommodations, please contact us in advance.
Yes! One (1) hydration station will be available along the route, and bottled water will be provided at the finish. Please be mindful of fellow participants and take only one (1) bottle of water so there’s enough for everyone.
Yes! Strollers are welcome at the 5K for Pizza. For everyone’s safety and comfort, please line up toward the back of the starting area and be mindful of other participants along the course.
Yes! Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to join you on the course. For everyone’s safety and comfort, please line up toward the back at the start, be mindful of fellow participants, and clean up after your pup.
Yes! Spectators are welcome to watch and cheer on participants and join in the post-race festivities.
Please note that pizza and other race perks are only provided to participants with a race bib and completed registration.
At this time, 5K for Pizza does not provide medals.
Race shirts are available as an add-on for an extra charge and can be purchased either at checkout when you register or in our online store.
Metered street parking is available nearby on a first-come, first-served basis.
The closest and most convenient garage is LM Liberty Parking, located at 33 Hudson St, Jersey City, NJ 07302.

Race results will be posted on our website under the Results tab in the navigation menu.
Results will be available 24 hours after the race concludes.
Race photos will be available on our website, typically within a week after the race. We’ll do our best to get them posted as soon as possible!
Once the photos are live, we’ll also send out an email notification so you know they’re ready to view.
🍕 Volunteer Questions
You can sign up to volunteer through our website on the Volunteer page. First, select which of the two available volunteer positions you’d like to fill, then complete the form. We’ll follow up with all the details about your role and schedule.
No experience is necessary! We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds. Training and guidance will be provided for each role.
Absolutely! We love group volunteers. If we haven’t already been in contact, please reach out to us before having members of your group sign up so we can coordinate roles and schedules.
All volunteers will receive a 5K for Pizza volunteer shirt, enjoy free pizza, and receive discounted entry to next year’s race. Plus, you’ll get to be part of making the event a success and helping create an unforgettable race day experience!
Yes! We’re happy to provide documentation for your volunteer hours upon request. Be sure to let us know you need this when the Volunteer Director contacts you after you sign up.
Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for being on your feet. You’ll receive a volunteer tee to wear, so choose your outfit accordingly. Be sure to check the weather and dress appropriately.
Don’t forget water, sunscreen, and anything else you might need for a few hours outdoors.
Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Youth volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian acknowledge the waiver during sign-up.
If children under 14 would like to volunteer, they must be accompanied by an adult, and the Event Director should be notified after signing up so appropriate arrangements can be made.
Volunteers should check in at the volunteer check-in area near the main event site.
**Detailed information and directions will be provided 1–2 weeks before the event. The Volunteer Director will contact all volunteers via email with their assignment details and any other information needed for their role.
