Hi All - I am volunteering at the annual Boston Safe Passage 5K fun run/walk to raise money for this incredible organization that I've been involved with for ten years now! For those of you who don't know, Safe Passage is a non-profit school that provides education and opportunities for 600+ children and families living and working in the Guatemala City Garbage dump area. I had the privilege of being a long-term volunteer there for two years and now of leading a group of students from my school every two years for a week of community service and learning. The 5K in particular is meaningful to me because it is the reason why I met my husband, Enrique, in Guatemala in 2010!
Please consider donating to this wonderful cause. Given the current political climate and immigration situation in our country, it is even more imperative to help NGOs like this one that are working on improving the living conditions many are currently fleeing.
Thank you in advance!
