The Center for the Advancement of Bereavement Care Team is taking Steps for Healing in the 2025 5K Run/Walk to provide free grief support for children, teens, and adults who have someone close to them.
When you make a gift to the Run/Walk, you are directly supporting grieving individuals who need support, camaraderie, and hope to lift from loss. All contributions benefit the Children's Bereavement Center so that there are free grief support groups for all.
The Center for the Advancement of Bereavement Care (CABC) at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Health System, supports the Children's Bereavement Center because the CABC's mission is to ensure that no grieving family member goes unnoticed or without the essential support they need. Through compassionate care, rigorous research, and evidence-based education, the CABC aims to empower healthcare professionals, individuals who are grieving, and the friends and family who support them.
The CABC is proud to support the Children's Bereavement Center in their mission to provide care for bereaved families and training for to help build more grief-literate communities.
