Founded in 1953, Keep Virginia Beautiful is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to eliminating litter, increasing recycling and beautifying communities across the Commonwealth. Keep Virginia Beautiful's mission is to engage and unite Virginians to improve our natural and scenic environment through our impact areas of litter. Through a key partnership with VDOT's Adopt-a-Highway program, Keep Virginia Beautiful has strengthened its ability to reach more communities to clean up the highways and byways.
