Better2gether provides practical support and resources to promote the overall health & well-being of children with medically complex illnesses who are seen in the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU Complex Care Clinic. I’m one of those kids so it means even more to me. I’m at the hospital frequently and the complex care clinic has been amazing for me! It’s coordinated my care and the entire staff is TOP NOTCH! Better2gether has always provided me and my family with so many resources it’s been such a blessing. One of the things we are grateful for is Warrior Wednesdays when my mom gets to be with other moms like her that truly understand what it’s like having children like me and just having a break from it all together. Another thing are the many ways Better2Gether brings in community partners to make events and services happen for us to make life more bearable in between all the sticks, tears, medications and fears we have these heroes.
