Summer Fun Reading Challenge: This two-month event for all ages features events, hands-on activities and contests to foster a lifelong love of reading Your support allows us to bring even more performers and instructors to make Summer 2025 the best yet!
Scholarships for Library Staff: Becoming a librarian is about so much more than just loving books. They are highly-trained professionals who need to hold masters degrees to move into higher-level positions. We are proud to fund scholarships for NOPL employees who are pursuing their Masters in Library Science at LSU. Our goal is to provide $20,000 in scholarship funding in 2025.
A Van for the Friends: We sell used books at our two used bookstores to raise funds for the library. As we have expanded our pop-up sales across the city, we are looking to invest in a used van. Can you help us get behind the wheel by putting on your running shoes?
