Youth Run NOLA was founded in 2010 as an after-school club in St. Bernard Parish to support local youth through distance running. Over the past 14 years, we’ve grown into a transformative program serving more than 4,000 youth across 35 public schools and six neighborhood parks. Together, we’ve run over 40,000 miles, logged 45,000+ volunteer hours, and built a thriving community of healthy, young leaders.
Our intensive eight-month training program offers weekly practices and monthly races, guided by dedicated teacher-coaches and community volunteers. Youth Run NOLA provides a safe, positive, and structured environment where young people develop healthy habits, set and achieve ambitious goals, and build supportive relationships with peers and mentors.
