I'm back running to support First Grace Community Alliance (FGCA) and with it comes the return, by popular demand, of my Strava Art fundraiser!
Every dollar donated will directly fund Hagar's House (a housing sanctuary for women, children, and LGBTQ+ folks) and Project Ishmael (a pro bono legal clinic for undocumented children and their families). At Hagar's House, $500-600 pays for 1 month of healthy groceries for residents. At Project Ishmael, $230 provides a week of one-on-one resource assistance to families and youth seeking holistic resource referrals, from legal aid to healthcare and education. Your support is needed this year more than ever before.
For the Strava art raffle: Every person who donates $10 or more will earn an entry into a raffle to create a Strava Art piece that I will then run (or suggest a design and I'll make it). Last year, noted Cubs fan Matt Patton had me run the shape of the Milwaukee Brewers logo, which I was initially excited about but now understand was some sort of hex on the team. Anyway, some inspiration here: https://stories.strava.com/articles/13-of-the-most-incredible-pieces-of-strava-art-weve-spotted
One twist: Every person who donates $10 or more before the new year will get FIVE entries into the drawing. Every person who donates before the horses clear Bourbon Street on Mardi Gras Day (Feb. 17) will get THREE entries into the drawing. So don't wait!
I hope I can count on you to learn more about and support Hagar's House and Project Ishmael!
