YWCA Delaware serves women, men and children of all ages, races, religions, and socio-economic backgrounds. We provide an environment where every woman finds the support and inspiration to reach her potential. YWCA Delaware is a member of the YWCA USA.
Annually, nearly 5,200 people participate in our comprehensive programs. YWCA Delaware changes the lives of women and their families through direct services and advocacy in the areas of housing, violence prevention and sexual assault crisis services, economic empowerment, racial justice and youth programming. We are a leading organization for social change and are widely recognized as the highly effective, inclusive, and uplifting force that empowers women to achieve economic advancement and residential stability.
For nearly 125 years, YWCA Delaware has implemented smart business strategies that enabled capacity growth and adaptability over time. We have a strong reputation for meeting community needs, managing expenses prudently, and helping our clients achieve financial stability.

Home Life Management Center - Emergency and Transitional Housing program
Sexual Assault Response Center - 24 hour helpline, emergency services, medical and legal accompaniment services, individual and group counseling services and services for family members of the survivor
Economic Empowerment Program - Home Ownership (including first time homebuyer and foreclosure prevention services); Financial Counseling to address bad credit and improved economic and housing stability; and Women Achieving New Direction (Wand) program designed to meet the critical need for paths out of poverty by providing career readiness workshops and personal coaching for both women and men with barriers to traditional employment
Youth Programs - provide guidance for at-risk youth to help them develop a sense of purpose and set goals that support their social and economic mobility including completing high school and attending college
Racial and Social Justice Program - provides a variety of programs that facilitate discussions on race and related topics resulting in better understanding and increased respect for all people and a catalyst for positive change in social systems
