Bournelyf Camper Information
Spring is on its way, and we are geared up for our Annual 5k Run/ 2K Walk in downtown West Chester, Thursday, May 1st at 6:30 PM. Please note that all campers and their support staff register for FREE! We are partnered with Wrong Crowd Brewery for the after party, sharing FREE food, a FREE beer (21 or older), or beverage for volunteers and participants. We run, we walk, we roll in wheelchairs/strollers, and we run with guides! All you have to do is use the code CAMPER at check out for free registration for your camper. Support staff can register using the code SUPPORT for free registration for 1 support staff. Note: You will have to register staff and campers in separate transactions as only 1 code can be used per transaction.

WHAT IS THE 5K RUN/2K WALK?
It is a fundraising event for your campers and CAMP!
All proceeds will directly benefit Bournelyf. Funds raised will help to keep tuition affordable, hire qualified, motivated staff, and provide activities and experiences throughout Chester County and the surrounding region.
WHAT WILL THIS EVENT LOOK LIKE FOR CAMPERS?
This is an opportunity for campers, their families, and friends to join community runners and walkers to promote awareness of and raise funds for Bournelyf. The event takes place in downtown West Chester. Using paved streets/sidewalks, 5K runners start the event and 2K walkers follow.
WHAT IS THE COST OF REGISTRATION?
All Bournelyf campers (former and current) are FREE! Support Personnel are FREE as well!
**Please be aware that campers and support personnel are FREE of charge, however campers and family members must register on the race website. Campers register using the code CAMPER and support staff can registre using the code SUPPORT. If any issues please contact Janet Vermeil, planetjanet003@msn.com
WHAT DOES MY REGISTRATION INCLUDE?
All campers are free to participate (code: CAMPER) but must register by April 4, 2025, to guarantee a T-shirt. Additionally, registration includes a bib number, post-race food and a beer for all campers who are 21 or older. There will also be medals awarded to all campers doing the walk or run.
MAY I DROP OFF MY CAMPER?
No, you are responsible for your camper at all times. Staff are not hired to escort campers. Support personnel (FREE to participating using the code SUPPORT) may escort your camper under your responsibility.
HOW DOES MY CAMPER FUNDRAISE?
You can create a fundraiser through the race website on the become a fundraiser page. Additionally, if you sign up for the race, you will be prompted to create a fundraiser.
WHERE DO I PARK?
There are a few parking options for the day of the race. The map below shows the locations of these options:
- There is a small parking lot right by Wrong Crowd that is accessible via Hannum Ave or Gay Street
- The parking garage on Market Street (across from the courthouse) is between the start and finish lines
- The parking garage on High St is 1 block from the start line
Additional street parking is available but may be difficult to secure.
IS THE 2K WALK COMPETITIVE?
No, the 2K Walk does not receive cash or prize awards. The goal is to represent BSC in our local community as we share our presence and raise funds for camp at the same time!
