Since 2019, Somerville Fire Dept. Local 76 team has raised over $100k for first responder charities. It’s truly been special to see this event continue to grow within the department and community. From the start, we ignored the team size limits and didn’t care about race times. It was never about being a top fundraiser, we were just looking for a way to bring people together.

On-Site Academy is a wellness center that supports first responders, military, and their families. Being a first responder, you never know what kind of calls a shift will bring. Some of those calls stick with you and replay over and over in your mind. Our Union President/PFFM Members Assistance Director has worked directly with On-Site Academy to support firefighters in their time of need and has seen the amazing work they do to help first responders deal with the mental load that comes with the job.
