One of the most in-demand professions in Tanzania right now is nursing. One young person who trains to be a nurse not only dramatically improves his or her own life, but also impacts many others. For example, the average person with a job in Tanzania supports up to 20 others who are not employed. Then, because the ratio of nurses to patients is so different than what we are used to in the U.S., one nurse can change the life of thousands of patients every year.
