We want to thank you for visiting our page and taking the time to read our story, and possibly supporting a cause that means the world to us.
It is important to us to dedicate this race (and every single other one we do for animals) to our late, beloved Lucy and Maverick.
As many of you know, Lucy was my world. She was my soulmate in animal form and I am so thankful for the time I had with her. Lucy was by my side through a lot, including all of my races. She would be standing there at the finish line, tail wagging, proud of her mom. Not having her there physically anymore is difficult but I know she is still with me in spirit and will continue to be my biggest cheerleader.
We are extremely excited to have a new reason to run races- Cash. Cash was a parvo survivor that we are so thankful CCAS rescued and saved. We cannot think of a better way to thank the shelter than helping raise money to help save other animals and give them the chance to find a loving home, similarly to Cash.
At the end of the day, we cannot express our love for our animals and all that they do for us. Please consider helping us achieve our goal of fundraising to help other animals be saved, and have the opportunity to change people’s lives when they adopt them. Simply said “dogs are not our whole lives, but they make our lives whole.”
Your funds go a long way at Friends of CITY DOGS. We truly appreciate your support and cannot thank you enough. This is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts. As animal lovers and pet parents, we cannot imagine a life without our dogs and cats. We want to help our community serve animals that are still searching for loving, safe homes; any contribution made helps accomplish that and are greatly appreciated.
