This year we are offering two ways to participate in the CITY DOGS Cleveland 5k. You can register to run or walk in person at Edgewater Park Kite Field or virtually anywhere you choose. Everyone is encouraged to post using #CITYDOGSrunCLE. PRICE INCREASES ON May 25 at noon! Shirt sizes are not guaranteed after May 25. We expect to sell out again this year so sign up early!
The in-person event at Edgewater is for humans only, participants are welcome to run with their dog virtually.
RACE DAY TIMELINE
8 a.m. - Packet Pick Up/Day of Registration
9 a.m. - Event begins, 5k immediately followed by 1 mile
Top finisher awards will be presented as the winners finish
Registration costs:
$35 until May 25 at noon
$40 May 25 - June 4 (including race day)
Registration is open online February 1.
Registration price increases May 25 at noon.
Race day registration is available.
All donations go to Friends of CITY DOGS Cleveland who provide financial assistance for the animals at Cleveland Animal Care and Control, which includes daily enrichment opportunities, medical care, and supporting the CITY DOGS adoption and volunteer programs.
There are individual fundraising goals to help us reach our overall fundraising goal of $15,000! The top three fundraisers will win credit for Friends of CITY DOGS merchandise. Credits must be used within six months of the race. Prizes will be available for pick up post race or shipped for an additional charge. Credits must be redeemed within 30 days of the race. Nalgene® water bottle ($18) Drink more water with your Friends of CITY DOGS water bottle! Yes, you do need another water bottle.
Shoelaces ($5) Studies show* that you run faster when your sneakers are laced with Friends of CITY DOGS shoelaces.
*no studies were done; we just think they make us look faster ;-)
