This is a VIRTUAL EVENT! Anyone from anywhere can participate!
12-MILES:
*Minimum of 12-mile ruck, run, walk, or ride.
*Each finisher of at least 12 miles will earn a “Thank the Troops” commemorative patch (mailed via USPS).
22-MILES: EARNING THE “GRITTY TAB”
*To earn the Gritty Tab, you must complete a 22-mile ruck, run, walk, or ride (or a combination). The Gritty Tab is a special patch that identifies those who have truly shown their Grit. Tab holders are proud members of the March for a Purpose Group, and have completed 22-miles during a March for a Purpose event, such as this one. It is a coveted Tab that is only reserved for those willing to go the extra distance to prove to themselves and others that quitting was never an option. Marchers MUST submit proof of completed miles (Strava, MapMyRun, etc) MUST be submitted to grittysoldier@gmail.com or www.facebook.com/grittysoldier in order to be considered. Marchers who complete the 22-miles will also earn the “Thank the Troops” commemorative patch (mailed via USPS).
SPECIAL COMPETITION FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO GO THE “EXTRA MILE:”
🥇 *The Marcher to cover the most distance in miles will receive a special “Farthest Marcher” medal along with the “Thank the Troops” finisher patch (mailed via USPS). Proof of completed miles (Strava, MapMyRun, etc) MUST be submitted to grittysoldier@gmail.com or through direct message (DM) to www.facebook.com/grittysoldier in order to be considered.
WHY WE WILL MARCH:
Service members both past and present haves sacrificed so much to preserve the American way of life. They’ve given their time, their body, and their own personal desires up to serve a higher purpose. They do it for their countrymen, so that they may live another day as free people. We will March to show our gratitude and to display a spirit of American camaraderie.
