Challenge Description
Get ready for the fifth annual Moose Loop Trail Challenge—your summer-long excuse to explore Anchorage’s amazing urban trails that (yes, really!) loop around the city in the shape of a moose! Whether you run, walk, bike, or roll, this un-timed, all-ages, all-abilities adventure is your chance to enjoy the great outdoors at your own pace—on the Moose Loop in Anchorage or wherever you are. It’s not just a celebration of trails, it’s a feel-good fundraiser for the Anchorage Park Foundation, and the perfect way to stay active and connected all summer long.
We are incredibly grateful to our event sponsors, whose generous support makes this event possible and helps ensure that Anchorage’s trails remain a vital, vibrant part of our community. A special thank you to ExperPlay for their title sponsorship and continued commitment to keeping our trails active, inclusive, and inspiring for all.
In-Person Group Ride
Kick off the Challenge with an optional ~10-mile group ride on Saturday, August 23 from 12:00–2:30 PM, starting at Westchester Lagoon. The ride will be led by Diana Rhoades of the Anchorage Park Foundation, and it’s a great way to connect with fellow participants and celebrate our incredible trail system together! Email Diana@AnchorageParkFoundation.org to join the group ride.
