The week-long challenge is an annual fundraiser for the Anchorage Park Foundation and opportunity to hit the trails in the shoulder season.

Navigating the Moose Loop Trails
Anchorage has one of the best urban trail systems in the country, with hundreds of miles of paved multi-use trails connecting neighborhoods, parks, and businesses across the city. Linking existing trails and city streets forms a 32-mile urban greenway loop in the shape of a moose! Use this interactive Google map to plan your 5K, 10K, Mini Moose routes, or navigate the full Moose Loop. Read detailed directions for connecting the trails into Moose Loop.

Anchorage Park Foundation
The Anchorage Park Foundation mobilizes public support and leverages financial resources for Anchorage parks, trails, and recreation opportunities. Our programs and initiatives focus on promoting healthy lifestyles, addressing inequalities in access to public lands, and empowering community members to advocate for a vibrant park system. As a small nonprofit, we work in the space between local government and the people of Anchorage to build community around parks and trails. Our work ensures that all residents and visitors, regardless of income, ethnicity, or special needs, benefit from our world-class trail system and network of public parks.
