Description

Join Turnagain Training for 2 one-day camps at UAA or the 1 day camp at Service High!
October 20th tri camp is for kids ages 6-10 only at UAA.
October 27th tri camp is for kids ages 11-14 only at UAA.
November 10th tri camp is again for kids ages 6-10 only at Service High.

These camps will be a fun opportunity for kids to participate in swimming, biking and running all in one day PLUS work on their transitions, while meeting some new friends! Camp is currently limited to 20 kids.

Every camper will receive a FREE long sleeve Turnagain Training top and swim cap for participating in the camp!

Every camper is required to have a current USA Triathlon license ($10/year) in order to participate. License will be checked at check-in, so you must have it available. Licenses can be purchased and/or printed off here: https://www.teamusa.org/usa-triathlon/membership-services/join-or-renew

Schedule for Goose Lake/UAA Days:

9:00am - Drop-off at Goose Lake Pavillion

9-9:30am - Ice Breaker Game

9:30-11am - Bike Ride

11-12pm - Practice transitions

12-1pm - Lunch/Team Building Activity at Goose Lake Pavillion and/or UAA Sports Complex (weather dependent)

1-3pm - Bike to/from track for a track workout

3-4pm Swim at UAA Wells Fargo Sports Complex

4-4:30pm - Pickup at UAA Wells Fargo Sports Complex

 

Schedule for Service High Days:

9:00am - Drop-off at Service High sledding hill

9-9:30am - Ice Breaker Game

9:30-11am - Mountain Bike Ride towards Campbell Creek Science Center

11-12pm - Practice transitions at Elmore Ball Field

12-1pm - Lunch/Team Building Activity at Elmore Ball field pavilion or Service Pool entryway (weather dependent)

1-3pm - Bike to Service track for running workout

3-4pm Swim at Service Pool
4-4:30pm - Pickup at Service High Pool

What Kids will Need:

-Lunch (Snacks will be provided but kids must bring their own lunch)

-Mountain Bike

-Helmet (REQUIRED)

-Bike lock (REQUIRED)

-Bear spray and bell for bike - strongly encouraged!

-Bike shoes and/or sneakers

-Warm layers for biking (windbreaker, warm gloves, buff or thin hat for head, warm pants, possibly hand/toe warmers)

-Running shoes

-Swim suit

-Googles

-Towel

-Dry change of clothes

Please NOTE: Minimum 5 athletes signed up 7days before the camp in order for camp to run. Full refunds will be returned to parents if camp is cancelled. Please do not wait! The call will be made the Thursday 4pm 1week prior to the event.
