Description
The Virtual Repeat is a 3 week virtual challenge starting on June 9th which commemorates the Freedom Riders in 1961, the Selma to Montgomery march in 1965, and the assassination of Dr Martin Luther King in 1968. Virtual runners, walkers, and cyclists will have the opportunity to pay tribute and earn the exclusive medal(s) that represents each of these events that were a significant part of the Civil Rights Movement. Participants will be able to walk, jog, run, or cycle up to 100 miles to commemorate these historical events. (Please note that medals may be added at an additional cost per medal.)
*All mileage will go towards our 1 Million Miles for Justice Initiative.
**There is a minimum of 1 mile for this challenge.
***All proceeds and donations will go towards the maintenance and expansion of the Civil Rights Race Series.

3-Week Challenge Information
During this 3 week challenge we will focus on a different event each week.
Week 1: Freedom Riders Week
“Riding Through the Flames of Freedom”
We will commemorate the bombing of the Freedom Riders bus
in Anniston, Alabama in May of 1961 the week of June 9-June 15.

Week 2: Selma to Montgomery Week
"We Walk/Run/Ride With Selma"
We will commemorate the renowned march in March of 1965 that
began in Selma, Alabama and ended at the State Capitol in Montgomery, Alabama the week of June 16 - 22.

Week 3: Memphis Week
"I Am Human"
We will commemorate the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
in April of 1968 on the balcony of the Lorraine Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee
the week of June 23 - 29.

*All Participants will have until Sunday, June 30th to enter all mileage for the Virtual Repeat Challenge into their virtual tracker.
How To Access Your Mileage Tracker and Enter Your Mileage Goals and Completed Miles
Each participant will decide on the number of miles they would like to contribute for this event. (There is a minimum goal of 1 mile.) The mileage will be entered in the participant's tracker as a "Goal". It is up to the individual participant to decide on how they will track their mileage towards their goal. Mileage can be tracked along the way or entered all at once. Please follow the steps below to access the mileage tracker to enter your mileage goal and to track your completed miles:
1. Log in to your Run Sign Up account.
2. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
3. Scroll down to your Upcoming races to find the Virtual Repeat Event.
4. Click on Submit Virtual Results.
5. Enter the total number of miles you would like to complete under "Goals".
6. Save your changes.
*Follow the same steps to enter your completed mileage.
How to Make Your Mileage Results Public
If you would like for your race results and registration to be found on the results page, you must make your profile public. If you would like to remain anonymous, your results will not show on the results page and you will only be able to submit your mileage through your Run Sign Up profile (Please see the steps above). Below are the steps to making your profile public.
1. Log in to your Run Sign Up account.
2. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
3. Click on the edit icon in the top right.
4. Make sure the box that says "Show as anonymous in public participant lists and race results." is unchecked.
(If you do not want your profile/results public, please be sure to check the box.)
5. Save your changes.
