Description
What started as a Thanksgiving morning run has turned into a tradition. Come build that Thanksgiving appetite by running the 6.2 mile certified course through the beautiful Golden Springs community. This ARC event benefits the YMCA. Walkers are welcome! Come and participate as a family. Overall male and female winners receive a Turkey Breast from The Honey Baked Ham Company. Overall 2nd & 3rd male and female receive Yummy Pies. AGE GROUP Awards M/F = 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ and over. The course is USATF certified and we will have chip timing, so you can utilize your result for races that require corral timing such as Peachtree 10K. Packet Pick-Up will start at 7:00am on Race Day inside the Community Center's gym.
T-Shirt Design 2025
Unisex long sleeve t-shirt guaranteed with your registration by October 31st, 2025. Remaining stock will be allocated as you register. 2025 design TBA.
Food Drive
Help us replenish our local food banks during their busiest time of the year. You can help us give back to the community by bringing non-perishable food items to donate to the local food banks. Every bit counts!
Course Rules
The Plucked Turkey 10K is open to runners and walkers of all abilities. There is no age minimum. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian register for them online. Earbuds are strongly discouraged. The roads are closed, but you need to be aware of your surroundings. Bicycles, in-line skates, and other non-official wheeled vehicles and pets (including pets in strollers) are prohibited on the course! Service animals must have provided documents before the race for consideration. Our insurance will not cover pets on the course. However, we will allow strollers with infants as long as you start at the back of the race pack. Please be courteous of all runners and allow others to pass. Your time does not start until you cross over the starting line. A timing chip is on the back of your race bib. YOU MUST wear your own race bib.
