2024 Race Cancellation/Postponement. Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to hold the event this year due to scheduling conflicts, other obligations and insurmountable obstacles. We are rapidly putting in place the corrective actions to make sure that we can finally get back to a live racing event in 2025 (July 26. 2025). We apologize for the last notice but were really trying to pull it off this year!
For those who have already registered, please check your email for options to remain registered for next year (July 26, 2025), get a complete refund or event donate the fee to the foundation as a tax deductible donation (no obligations whatsoever). Again we really wanted this to be our comeback year for a live event but rest assured we are rapidly clearing out the obstacles for next year. We certainly appreciate the support we have received from each and every one of you over the years and we simply want to put on the best event possible. As always, a big shout out to Fleet Feet for showcasing our race in the calendar and providing such great race support!!
Hope to see you next year!!

Description
5th Annual event, 2025 Will Haney Foundation Race of Champions 5K with proceeds to fund the Will Haney Foundation Scholarship program. The Will Haney Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, was established in 2014 in the memory of our son, brother and friend who was taken from us by childhood cancer on January 8, 2011. The purpose of the Will Haney Foundation is to support patients and families of patients who are suffering from cancer by providing for their needs, providing for cancer research and providing scholarships for graduating seniors going in to the nursing profession. Although, Will passed away from a childhood cancer, we want to support patients and families with all types of cancer. However, when supporting cancer research, this Foundation will focus primarily on childhood cancer with an emphasis on research for Rhabdomyosarcoma.
The race course is USTAF distance Certified and is multi-surface, high school stadium track, asphalt, fine gravel running trail, and boardwalk. A multi-surface shoe is suggested. The course is flat and fairly fast.
