Description
Mark your calendars for November 3, 2018 and join us for the 6th Annual Arlene's MG Walk in Homewood, AL benefiting the Myasthenia Gravis Society, which aims to raise awareness about Myasthenia Gravis (MG) and assist patients in their journeys.
Since most people have never heard of MG until they or a loved one is diagnosed with it, public awareness of the disease is vitally important. It is very scary to be diagnosed with a disease you can't pronounce, can't spell and have never heard of. It is reassuring and comforting to contact the MG Society and talk with someone who has MG, who listens and understands what you are saying and feeling, and can give you HOPE.
Arlene's MG Walk honors the late MGS board member Arlene Stuckey, one of the first patients diagnosed with MG in Alabama and one of the instrumental founding members of the society. We walk in loving memory of this great woman, who was so dedicated to helping MG patients and their families.
