Run To The Son is a road race in historic Brookside, AL. The main purpose of RTTS is to raise money for foreign and local missions and effectively be able to spread the gospel throughout the world. We use this money to help fund mission teams, foreign and local. This year, all proceeds will go to Operation 300. RTTS is about a group of individuals who are pushing toward the goal of intentionally helping to make Jesus known to all peoples!!
This will be the 5th year of RTTS. We will have free food for all participants, age group winners, as well as an overall male and female winner! Runners packs will include a finishers shirt along with many other goodies. The RTTS route will take participants through and around the town of Brookside! The Right Time from Track Shak will handle registration and digital timing for the race! This is shaping up to be the best RTTS yet and we are very excited to partner with all the sponsors, volunteers, and participants to spread the gospel of Jesus through out the world!
Now to the good part, all the proceeds from this race are going to Operation 300. Operation 300 was started in honor of SOC Aaron C. Vaughn. He was KIA on August 6, 2011. Operation 300 host camps to help minister to spouses and children of soldiers who are KIA. While the moms spend time together, the kids get to do things with male mentors, that they would have done with their dad's. Operation 300 pays for travel cost for these families and depend on fund raising efforts such as RTTS to help with these expenses.
