Description
On May 17th, 2020, the UAB Pediatrics Residency Program at Children's of Alabama will be putting on the 14th annual Spring Scramble 5K Road Race. This yearly tradition is a fundraising event to benefit and foster the well-being and health of Birmingham's youth. This year, the funds will go toward our resident-run unique community outreach and advocacy program called the Coat of Arms. This group hosts advocacy events in the community throughout the year such as local health fairs and holiday gift drives and provides much needed items such as books, helmets, and gun locks to patients in primary care settings.
The race will take place at the beautiful Railroad Park in the shadow of Children's Hospital, and will utilize Birmingham's Rotary and Jones Valley trails to complete a 5K road race through scenic downtown Birmingham.
Race registration begins at 5pm, and the race will start promptly at 5:30pm.
The race will be followed by live music, games, and door prizes!
