This race is a fundraiser for the Apple Foundation. The Apple Foundation is a local, non-profit organization designed specifically to facilitate worthy programs and events beyond the ordinary budgets of the Guntersville City Schools.

Race Course
The 5K Walk/Run will begin at Guntersville Recreation Center, travel along scenic Sunset Drive running south to an access path to the paved running path (at approx. the 1.4 mi. point), turn right onto the path and loop around and run back in the opposite direction to an access path to a parking lot (at approx. 2.8 mi. point) next to a base- ball field and concrete storage shed, run through the parking lot back onto Sunset Dr., turn left and run back to the start Point in front of the “Hutt Thomas Gym” next to the Guntersville Recreation Center.
