A corporate and individual 5K race or walk aimed toward bringing the corporate community of Huntsville together for a fun-filled, family friendly evening. Participants can enjoy a 5K race or walk, compete in cornhole, play mini-golf, tailgate, enjoy live entertainment and more!
WHY
Space Race offers Huntsville businesses a fun, active way to connect with employees and their friends and families. Strengthen team bonds, create lasting memories, and support a great cause. Additionally, we’re proud to partner with the Space and Rocket Center, with a portion of proceeds benefiting museum exhibits, artifact preservation, and educational programs that inspire the next generation of innovators.
WHERE
Space Race takes off from the iconic Big Spring Park, with a scenic course winding through Huntsville’s vibrant downtown. At the heart of the action is our “BizHubble” tailgate village, located within the park’s perimeter—a lively hub for pre- and post-race fun. Whether you’re a corporate participant or an individual runner, the BizHubble is the perfect spot to relax, connect, and celebrate.
Enjoy inflatables, face painters, food trucks, bars, live entertainment, and more—all in one dynamic space. With so much to see and do, the BizHubble is guaranteed to be the place to be!
WHEN
Space Race launches on September 18th, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM with the 5K kicking off at 6:00 PM.
To get involved, either register under your corporate team or sign up to run as an individual.
BizHubble
Space Race starts and ends at the BizHubble in Big Spring International Park. The BizHubble is an entertainment hub designed to allow participating companies to congregate and connect with their coworkers and peers away from the office and out from behind a screen.
The BizHubble will feature live music, food trucks, bars, cornhole, family friendly activities, an emcee and programming to ensure that all systems are a go before the race. The BizHubble will remain open until 9:00 PM, allowing for your team to debrief and celebrate a successful mission.
Upon registering a corporate team, you will be prompted to choose between a 10x10 or 20x20 space in the BizHubble, designed to offer employees and families a dedicated area to relax, eat, drink, and enjoy themselves. Whether it's a more intimate setting with the 10x10 or a larger area for bigger teams with the 20x20, the BizHubble ensures that everyone has a place to unwind and connect beyond the workspace.
