Miller APSO 5k Run/Walk & 1 Mile Fun Run

The Alabama Power Service Organization (APSO) Plant Miller Chapter partners with surrounding counties every year to provide employees with opportunities to give back to their communities.

APSO-Miller is making sure that children in need are able to have an enjoyable and unforgettable Christmas every year by partnering with Adopt-A-Child. No child should go without a Christmas and this is just a way that APSO-Miller can support the children in our surrounding community. This first annual 5k run/walk and 1 mile fun run will raise funding for APSO to continue to support the Adopt-A-Child Program and reach even more children who are in need. 

The run/walk will take place at Gamble Park in Downtown Jasper, Alabama. Registration for the 5k race is $25 early bid until Friday September 14, 2018; $30 after; and $35 on race day. The 1 mile fun run is $15 until Friday September 14, 2018 and $20 after and on race day. Race day registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday October 13, 2018. The 5k race will begin at 8:00 am and the 1 mile fun run will begin at 9:00 a.m. Registration and the start of the race will be at the entrance to Gamble Park near the intersection of Gamble Ave. and 14th Street E. 

There will be awards for the overall male/female winners, and top male/female runners in each age category: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-65, and over 65. Awards will be given out at Gamble Park.

T-shirts are included in the race registration fee. Race day registrants are NOT guaranteed a shirt.
