Leeds Valor Fest 5k and Fun Run

Honor. Community. Celebration. The Leeds Valor Fest 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run pay tribute to our City of Valor and the three Medal of Honor recipients from Leeds. The race takes place the Saturday before Veterans Day and features a 5K at 8:00 AM that starts and finishes at Rails and Ales, a 1-mile Fun Run at 9:00 AM, and awards immediately after. From 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, stick around for our Inaugural Valor Fest on 6th Street and at Rails and Ales with inflatables, food trucks, live music, face painting, balloon animals, games, and more. Many downtown shops within walking distance will run special sales. Come ready to run and stay to celebrate our veterans and our town!

Schedule
7:00 AM – Check-in and same-day registration opens at Rails and Ales
8:00 AM – 5K start
9:00 AM – 1-Mile Fun Run start
9:30 AM – Awards ceremony immediately following the Fun Run

Start and Finish
Rails and Ales, 1210 6th Street, Downtown Leeds, Alabama
Start and finish are at the venue, with post-race festivities just steps away.

Awards
Overall Awards: Top 3 overall receive cash prizes

1st place: $250
2nd place: $150
3rd place: $75

Overall Male and Overall Female: 1st, 2nd, 3rd receive medals
Age Group Medals: Top 3 male and top 3 female in each group (0-9, 10-15, 16–20, 21–30, 31–40, 41–50, 51–60, 61+)

Valor Fest
9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on 6th Street and at Rails and Ales
Inflatables, food trucks, live music, face painting, balloon animals, fun games, and more. Runners are encouraged to stay and shop local with special downtown sales.

Beneficiary
Proceeds support Leeds Main Street and revitalization efforts in historic downtown Leeds.

Parking
Ample public parking is available in downtown Leeds.

Safety and Timing
Chip timing for the 5K provided by Trak Shak
Strollers and leashed friendly dogs are welcome. For the 5K, please start toward the back if using a stroller for safety.
Course support and water provided.

Policies
Race is rain or shine.
Registrations are nonrefundable.
T-shirts and packet pickup will be the morning of the race.
