Description
“Every child deserves a home.” That’s the simple sentence that started all of this. Know More Orphans began as a small group of like-minded believers who felt called to apply that single idea to the global orphan crisis. We started the only way we knew how: at the individual level, with a single family pursuing an international adoption. However, we quickly realized that international adoption alone cannot solve this problem: only 9,000 international adoptions occur each year.
That first simple sentence soon led to another simple realization: God’s intended vehicle for caring for orphans has always been the church. We always knew that local churches would be the backbone of anything we would accomplish, and our goal is to connect the resources of churches here with the needs of churches there on the ground, so that both bodies can share in this crucial work.
