Bison Stampede 5K

YOU MAY REGISTER THE DAY OF THE RACE IN PERSON BEGINNING AT 4:30PM. 

$35 for 5K - Competitive

$30 (per person) for 5K Relay - Competitive

$20 for 1 Mile Fun Run

All Races will be on an enclosed course free from street traffic. The paved perimeter of the school will be used for the Course. Course Map

This race is hosted by Southern Union State Community College's Health Sciences Department. The profits raised will be used for Southern Union Health Sciences Scholarships, and prizes to promote health and wellness on the campuses. 

AWARDS

5K - Overall male and female runner and top 2 male and 2 female finishers in each age group:

<10, 10-14, 15 –19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

5K Relay - Top 3 Teams

There will be music, inflatables, rock wall, and face painting before and after the races.  You are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to partake in the festivities. 

T-Shirts:  Guaranteed if registration is received by Tuesday, March 12, 2024.  If registered after March 12, 2024, you will receive T-shirts as supplies last, in available sizes. 

Refund Policy:  Refunds and transfers are not allowed. 

Day of Race registration: Begins  @ 4:30 pm under “Registration Tent” at Southern Union - Opelika Campus.  Pre-registration is highly encouraged.   

Packet Pick-ups: You may pick up your packets at Southern Union in the Health Sciences parking lot on the corner of Fox Run and  Bulldog Parkway (formerly Lafayette Parkway) on Friday, March 22nd from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm or the day of the race beginning at 4:30 pm on Saturday, March 23rd under the “Packet Pick Up Tent”. 

 All race entry participants are eligible to win door prizes throughout the event, but they must be present to win.
