Spooky Sprint 5K

Join us for Pike Road Show Choir's annual fundraising 5K! Run, walk, or dance your way through this spooktacular event to support the Pike Road Schools' Choir Department. Through Show Choir, Concert Choir, and other performance opportunities, we are committed to sharing our love of music with the community! Funds raised through this event will go to support over 150 vocal music students at the GW campus and help continue their love of music. Get crafty and creative, or better yet, compete in costume! Awards for best costume in the following suggested categories: pet, celebrity, princess, superhero, rockstar, group, original, and scary.

Medals will be awarded as follows: 1st Overall; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Overall Male and Female finishers; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Overall Teen Boys and Teen Girls; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Kids (12 and under). Participants who register before September 24th will be guaranteed a race t-shirt. Thereafter t-shirts will be first come first serve, until we run out.

Morning of race registration will be available, pending space, from 6:30am-7:40am. Please see the Check-In Tent for payment (credit card/Square or cash).

The course will be well marked. You will have the option to run a regular chipped/timed race or a "Zombie Run" where zombies are scattered throughout the course and you will be required to test your speed, endurance, and strength while trying to avoid ravenous zombies! Runners will have flags that represent their health. Zombies will try to steal those flags. Runners must make it to the finish line with at least one flag or become a part of the walking dead! Be sure to indicate if you want to participate in the "Zombie Run" when you register and at packet pick up!

This is a fantastic opportunity to have some family fun, get some exercise, and support the local community! So come join us for an unforgettable day of fitness and fear at the Spooky Sprint 5K Run/Walk!

Parking: Please park along streets surrounding and adjacent to Town Square. Please abide by the "Parking This Side Only" signs that are posted.

Start time: 8:00am- start and finish at the Pavilion. Cut off time is one hour. We will begin awards ceremony at 9:00am. Distance: 3.1 miles.

Cost: $25 until Sept. 4th//$30 until 8:00am October 16th//and $40 after 8:00am on October 16th and October 17th and 18th//Kids 4 and under are FREE (they will receive a race number, but no shirt)//PRS Teachers and Staff receive a $5 discount on their race registration (see question at checkout). 

Online registration closes October 16th @8:00am, but you may register at any packet pick up and at the race beginning at 6:30am. (credit card via Square and cash accepted). Pre-race day packet pick up dates and locations:  Wednesday, October 15th, 12:00pm-6:00pm and Friday, October 17th, 12:00pm-6:00pm at The Pike Road Performing Arts Center: 9000 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, AL 36117, and Friday October 17th, 6:00pm-8:00pm in The Waters at Town Square: 200 Waters View Drive, Pike Road, AL 36064.

***Due to this race being a fundraising event, there will be no refunds issued for any reason (including weather cancellation).  Race will proceed in the rain, but will be cancelled if there is lightning.
