Soles for Souls

Soles for Souls is a [3.12 mile] race whose 100% proceeds go toward funding a play ground for young children.  The Course is located in Ragland, Alabama beginning and ending at Hardin's Chapel Bible Church. The Course terrain is a mixture of approximately 1.4 mile grass, 1.5 mile asphalt, and a very short portion on pretty firmly packed parking gravel. This is the second year of the event.  The course is primarily flat with about 4 short-lasting inclines and a couple of quick and shorting-lasting declines. The course is very gettable, conducive to setting a personal record. We have plans to get this course RRCA and USATF certified in the near future. Trophies will be presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female overall finishers. Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 male and female finishers for each age group. Age group breakdowns are are follows: (1-13, 14-19, 20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 and up) The 5K race will begin at 8am with 2 aid stations on the course. We will have a kids 1 mile fun run following at 9am.
