2017 Storybook 5K and Fun Run

The 2nd annual Storybook 5K and Fun Run, hosted by the Junior Board of the Vestavia Hills Library Foundation, is a fundraiser for the Children's Department of the Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest.  The 5K will begin at 8:00 am with the 1 Mile Fun Run following at 9:00 am.   Official chip timing is available for 5K participants.  This all ages event will be fun for the entire family as well as all members of our community and the greater Birmingham area. In addition to the 5K race and Fun Run, there will be live music, bounce house and slide, storybook characters, ballet dancers in costume, face painting and complimentary food and drinks!  A pre-race warm-up provided by Orangetheory Fitness will begin at 7:45.  Runners' packets may be picked up on Friday, October 27, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Vestavia City Hall, or Saturday morning before the race.  As of Wednesday, October 25, the location of the race has moved to Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church due to expected inclement weather on Saturday morning.  The 5K will begin and end at VHUMC and the Fun Run will take place in the gym on the track.
