Description

Bike School Bentonville, Ozark Outdoor Foundation in conjunction with OZ Trails presented by Walmart announce the expansion of the Walmart Oz Kids Crit for 2022! We are pleased to bring the fourth race of the series to Bentonville.  The series consists of Rogers, Fayetteville, and Springdale, with the final in Bentonville.

WHAT IS A CRITERIUM? A criterium is a bike race where the riders ride laps on a closed course. In our case, the number of laps is determined by the age of the riders and all the riders will ride bikes with flat handlebars.

Each race is $20. Register for the full series by April 15 to get your name on your race plate!

Riders will be categorized by the type of bike (Balance or Pedal) and their age as of 12/31/22.

Race Rules

  • Age is your age on December 31, 2022
  • Helmets mandatory
  • Flat handlebars (no road bikes)
  • Bar ends plug (no holes in the end of the handlebars)
  • Tires wider than 1.7 inches
  • Working brakes (excluding balance bike categories)
  • No BMX Pegs
  • Kickstands allowed
  • Closed toed shoes mandatory
  • Encourage other people, have good sportsmanship
  • Hands on bars entire race
  • Points are awarded based on place, with a bonus for participating in all four races and a bonus at the Championship race in Bentonville.
