Who Let the Dogs Out?
Come one, come all! Walkers and Runners!
El Dorado High School's Save the Animals club is hosting THEIR SECOND ANNUAL 5k walk/run on Saturday, April 13th 2019. ALL profits will be donated directly to Union County Animal Protection Society (UCAPS)!
Day-of registration and packet pick-up will begin at 6:30am, and the race will start in three rounds:
Round 1: 8:30 - Runners without dogs
Round 2: 8:45 - Runners with dogs
Round 3: 8:55 - Walkers with and without dogs
That's right, you can run or walk with your favorite canine!!! Bring your own pup to run or walk with you, or volunteer to run with one of UCAPS's adoptable dogs that will be hanging out with us on race day! Running or walking with a dog, of course, is not mandatory.
Times will be taken by EHS student timers and given out as you cross the finish line! All participants will be given a finisher medal, and special medals will go to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall with a dog!
Registration is only $20 up until the day before. It is $25 OR $20 and a bag of dog food if you register at the event! Again ALL profits will go directly to UCAPS!
Sign up by March 13th in order to be guaranteed a doggie-dash t-shirt on race day!
CHILDREN: All children under 10 are welcome to run or walk for free! This is a family friendly event - bring the dogs, bring the kids, have fun as a family!!
Ask us about the high school student discount!
